9Sois transportée d'allégresse, fille de Sion ! Pousse des cris de joie, fille de Jérusalem ! Voici, ton roi vient à toi ; il est juste et victorieux, il est humble et monté sur un âne, sur un âne, le petit d'une ânesse. 10Je détruirai les chars d'Éphraïm et les chevaux de Jérusalem, et l'arc de guerre sera détruit ; il annoncera la paix aux nations. Sa domination s'étendra d'une mer à l'autre, et du fleuve jusqu'aux extrémités de la terre. 11Et toi, à cause du sang de ton alliance, je délivrerai tes captifs de la fosse sans eau. 12Revenez dans la forteresse, captifs qui êtes pleins d'espérance ! Aujourd'hui encore je te l'annonce : je te rendrai le double.

9Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass. 10And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth. 11As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water. 12Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee;

28Après avoir dit ces choses, Jésus marcha devant eux pour monter à Jérusalem. 29Quand il approcha de Bethphagé et de Béthanie, vers la montagne appelée des Oliviers, il envoya deux de ses disciples, 30en disant : Allez au village qui est en face de vous ; à votre entrée, vous trouverez un ânon attaché, que personne n'a jamais monté ; détachez-le et amenez-le. 31Si quelqu'un vous demande pourquoi vous le détachez, vous lui direz : Le Seigneur en a besoin. 32Ceux qui furent envoyés partirent, et trouvèrent les choses comme Jésus leur avait dit. 33Pendant qu'ils détachaient l'ânon, ses maîtres leur dirent : Pourquoi détachez-vous l'ânon ? 34Ils répondirent : Le Seigneur en a besoin. 35Et ils amenèrent l'ânon à Jésus ; puis, ayant jeté leurs vêtements sur l'ânon, ils y firent monter Jésus. 36Comme il avançait, on étendait les vêtements sur le chemin. 37Quand il approcha de la descente de la montagne des Oliviers, toute la multitude des disciples, saisie de joie, se mit à louer Dieu à haute voix pour tous les miracles qu'ils avaient vus, 38en disant : Béni soit le roi qui vient au nom du Seigneur ! Paix dans le ciel, et gloire dans les lieux très hauts !
28And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem. 29And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, 30Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither. 31And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him. 32And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them. 33And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt? 34And they said, The Lord hath need of him. 35And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon. 36And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way. 37And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; 38Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

5Je t'ai laissé en Crète, afin que tu mettes en ordre ce qui reste à régler, et que tu établisses des anciens dans chaque ville, suivant mes instructions : 6si quelqu'un est irréprochable, mari d'une seule femme, ayant des enfants fidèles, qui ne soient pas accusés de dissolution ou d'insoumission. 7Car il faut que l'évêque soit irréprochable, comme économe de Dieu ; qu'il ne soit ni arrogant, ni colère, ni adonné au vin, ni violent, ni porté à un gain honteux ; 8mais qu'il soit hospitalier, ami du bien, modéré, juste, saint, tempérant, 9attaché à la vraie parole telle qu'elle a été enseignée, afin d'être capable d'exhorter selon la saine doctrine et de réfuter les contradicteurs.
5For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee: 6If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly. 7For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; 8But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate; 9Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
